About Us

Promoting the Foundry Industry


  • The purpose and mission of the Central New York Chapter of the American Foundry Society is to assist our members in promoting the expansion of the foundry industry in our area.  We will provide our members with assistance in training, networking, updates on new technology, as well as updates on safety and legal changes that effect our members.  We also strive to create interest in the industry to attract talented employees to seek a career in the foundry industry.  Our activities include monthly meetings or networking events on the second Wednesday of each month from September to June, an annual Golf Tournament in August of each year , as well as a holiday party.


We will provide information at our meeting to update our members on new technology as well as access to the suppliers who can provide your company with the tools that you need to stay ahead of the competition.  


We are also here to help you make contact with other foundry professionals who may be able to assist you with discussing a manufacturing issue, finding a supplier, or suggesting a better way of doing things.

Our meetings and activities are open to anyone in the industry, students who have an interest in possible career opportunities, ans well as buyers and potential buyers of castings.
